GREAT INDIAN BRAINS

Hello everyone this is my first ever posting here I’m really new in this so plz guide me in the right direction if you find me wrong.
My English vocabulary is very limited & I have used it to the maximum to express my views
I would like to write something that I feel people should know. I may not be the correct person to comment on such issues but I need to express my views no matter what???

GREAT INDIAN BRAINS

Don’t be confused with the title, I’m not talking about individuals like the great Srinivas Ramanujan or C.V.Raman.this may take you people back to the Vedic age, but you bet it’s really interesting and bound to controversies
I’ve divided my post into 2 parts where the 1st deals with bases of Hinduism and the 2nd deals with great Indian epics .I’ve tried to explain the intelligence of those people who have created this great Indian society

India is a great country, arguable the greatest owing to its history, culture, people, everything. I’m not here to talk about today’s India, but our ancestral India ,the day of the Vedas .I believe that our countries greatest asset is in the form of Vedas. Vedas speak about everything that a human on earth comes across .I mean EVERYTHING .Veda’s were not created by a single person instead it’s a work of thousands of thinking brains which knowingly or unknowingly worked together for 1000’s of years which has resulted as Vedas which we know(or think we know) today. Many have mistaken it as the word of god ,but no its not like Quran or Bible or Old Testament which is believed to be the word of god dictated to A particular person who are known as prophets ,instead Vedas is a science of life as mentioned earlier it’s a collective work of many heads.
On this short intro to Vedas, let me take your attention towards Hinduism

HINDUISM

Hinduism is the most organized religion (it’s a controversial statement but still stick to it). The basic foundation of Hinduism lies in its caste system. Well this may sound stupid but I’m not referring to today’s world, it’s about the Vedic age as mentioned earlier. Today we speak about equal rights and keep fighting for that, but have you ever thought why is this fight still on, that’s because we need a disciplined society. Let me get back to the topic, I’ll brush upon this as and when I finish talking the old age. In ancient India the caste was decided on the “WORK” he was doing not the other way. For example a person who thrives to gain knowledge was considered as a Brahmin. The person who is in administration was supposed to be Khastriya. Merchants were regarded as Vaisya and the workers were the Shudra. In those days it was not compulsory that a offspring of a Shudra should be a Shudra .NO, a son of a worker may also be a Brahman or a Khastriya. We can get many instances of such incident a good example is Valmiki.
As time passed, this became genetic .Son of a learned man will get some thing from his father, isn’t it .gradually this became worse as people started to grade themselves better then the others .So this became the so called BACKLASH of Hinduism. Things like untouchability started, which is not the teaching of the Vedas.
The distinction between people was made for the betterment of the society, but the same became a curse for the society which still has its influence on India today Just take a few seconds to think IF that old system is followed now in its true form, don’t you think that the society will be disciplined ??

The great epics serve as a very good example to know about the great brains of ancient India

GREAT EPICS

RAMAYANA & MAHABHARATA

Frankly speaking I don’t believe in the reality of these two epics to be true. If at al it is true, not in the way it is explained in the books .A war might have been fought in that time ,may be the names are also true but the writers may have exaggerated things to make it interesting or what ever. But still the intelligence of those people is very well evident.
I can give u a simple example of how the writer might have exaggerated things

Consider an arrow with a split head, if a well versed archer like Arjuna shoots this at a particular speed the arrow may split to its length resulting in two arrows, killing or at least injuring 2 people (quite possible)
How can this be an exaggerated statement?
Arjuna chanted a mantra (which may be the calculation of the exact speed and trajectory) seeded by god and as he fired the arrow it converted into 1000 arrows beheading them

This may be exaggerated, but every thing has reasons. Some of the reasons may be

Ø To create interest in the reader

Ø To impose a fear of the particular kingdom or king among people

Ø Or the king himself might have forced the writer to write something which project the king as a great and supreme power on earth

The third point needs some explanation, isn’t it?

Take for example RAMAYANA .it is believed the it was written during the reign of king rama (as mentioned in Ramayana) its quite possible that king rama might have appointed a writer (valmiki) to register the kings win over ravana.see if the writer is living on the courtesy of the king its natural that he will project him as a perfect human being, as we can see in Ramayana where rama is absolutely perfect, the writer says he is the reincarnation of god himself. If you have heard about Ramayana you can observe that not a single time rama has erred .He is a perfect human being .He is a idol for all others to follow his paths .every one should try to be rama .here we can see the greatness of the writer along with the praise of the king, he also gives people hope to survive in the harshest conditions. The writer shows the correct way of leading life .If this would happen there will be no conflicts in the society.
This is the real beauty of the great epics
